Blanca Is Safe Because People Care
Blanca arrived with Broken Halo Rescue in March 2021, at approximately 7 or 8 years old, after being rescued from cruel owners who made her walk for miles behind a cart.
It soon became clear that Blanca was not a dog who wanted a sofa life. She preferred the outdoor life she had always known, so instead of forcing her into a home that made her unhappy, she was given her own sanctuary space where she could do as she wished, surrounded by people she trusts. Blanca may be a dog many supporters will never meet, but your kindness helps hold her safe every single day.

A Girl Who Has Needed Us More Than Once
Blanca has faced several health challenges while in sanctuary care. She has previously needed surgery for happy tail, after wagging so much that she repeatedly split her tail, and she has also had a cancerous lump removed from inside her ear.
Thanks to the kindness of supporters, Blanca’s ear surgery was funded, completed successfully, and she returned safely to kennels to recover. Moments like this show exactly why sanctuary sponsorship matters: when Blanca needs help, funds need to be there quickly.
